What is your specialization? 

We specialize in treating the following skin conditions:
- Acne
- Acne Scars
- Hyperpigmentation / Dark Acne Marks / Dark Body Parts

Likewise, we also remove tattoos using laser.

Are you accredited by HMOs?

We are not yet affiliated with HMOs in the Philippines.

Is Dr. Mike D a registered Physician?

Yes, he is a registered Physician in the Philippines.

Is Dr. Mike D board-certified? 

Yes, Dr. Mike D is board-certified and is a Fellow of the Philippine Dermatological Society. He underwent his 3-year dermatological training with Skin and Cancer Foundation and passed his dermatology board exams.

Would it be okay to seek a second opinion with Dr. Mike D?

Yes, you may seek a second or third opinion with Dr. Mike. However, we recommend following only one Doctor's treatment plan so you won't be confused with each Doctor's protocols. You may decide whose treatment plan you'll follow after seeking a second or third opinion.

How do I get in touch with Dr. Mike for my skin-related inquiries? 

Once you've consulted with Dr. Mike D, a dedicated team of Patient Care nurses will assist you with your concerns. Likewise, you may also send Dr. Mike D an email with your concern and he'll get back to you as soon as he can. 

How long before Dr. Mike responds to my inquiries? 

Dr. Mike responds to inquiries within 72 hours (excluding Sundays and holidays).

Can I consult with Dr. Mike if I am a Filipino residing outside the Philippines?

Yes, but he won't be able to prescribe you with prescription medications as he is only licensed in the Philippines.

Furthermore, we aren't able to send out medications via courier as there is a high likelihood that your country's customs will not allow the delivery.

For pressing skin concerns that may require prescription-grade medications, please seek a local Dermatologist to help you address the said skin condition.

I am a foreigner but I would like to consult with Dr. Mike D. Would that be possible?

Yes, but he won't be able to prescribe you with prescription medications as he is only licensed in the Philippines.

Furthermore, we aren't able to send out medications via courier as there is a high likelihood that your country's customs will not allow the delivery.

For pressing skin concerns that may require prescription-grade medications, please seek a local Dermatologist to help you address the said skin condition.

Do you do online consultation?

Yes, we do. We have video and email consultations available but only email consultation is available at the moment. You may book an email consultation here

Do you do video consultation? 

Right now, video consultations are not available. We only email consultations at the moment. You may book an email consultation here.

Do you have a face-to-face consultation?

Yes, we do. We highly encourage patients to book a consultation here to reserve your slot. Walk-in patients are also welcome but patients with a reservation will be prioritized. 

Our clinic is located at 1706 Centuria Medical Makati, General Luna corner Salamanca Streets, Barangay Poblacion, Makati City, Metro Manila.

How do I get detailed answers for my health queries?

We ask comprehensive questions for all the modes of consultations we offer. After collecting your answers, we will provide you with a comprehensive explanation of your skin concern as well as the treatment plan to help you achieve your skin goals.

Should you still have further questions, please feel free to raise them to Dr. Mike D through email and he will respond to your questions.

Will I get a prescription when I do a consultation?

Yes, Dr. Mike D will give you a prescription that will help address your skin concern/s after you do a consultation.

Do you prescribe medications for acne? 

Yes, we prescribe different types of medications (oral, topicals) for acne, as well as in-clinic treatments if you're not keen on taking oral medications.

A combination of different treatment modalities will be recommended, depending on your preference and expectations.

Does Dr. Mike D give Isotretinoin prescriptions?

Yes, he prescribes Isotretinoin to patients who are indicated and fit to take it.

How often do I need to consult and pay for the consultation fee?

Formal follow-up consultations are done every six months from the time of your first consultation.

However, it's FREE to ask questions, give updates, have your laboratory test results read, be monitored, and be given a prescription in between the initial consultation to the follow-up consultation. 

Do you accept PWD patients and am I eligible for PWD discount? 

Yes, we accept PWD patients and they're eligible for PWD discount.

Simply email a copy of your PWD ID to websitesupport@dmdskinsciences.com and indicate the service or product you wish to avail for verification purposes.

Once verified, we will issue you a voucher code which can be used exclusively here at dmdskinsciences.com.

Do I pay first before the consultation? 

Yes, we implement a payment-first basis for consultations (face-to-face and online).

TREATMENT

Do I need to do a consultation before I do an in-clinic treatment? Can I skip the consultation? 

Yes, we require an in-clinic consultation to be done prior to the in-clinic treatment to be able to determine if you're fit to do the in-treatment.

We can do most of the treatments immediately after the in-clinic consultation, with the exception of the DMD Acne Scar Surgery.

Can you treat acne patients who don’t reside in Metro Manila? 

Yes, definitely. In fact, majority of our patients have only done an online consultation with us yet we were able to achieve their skin goals. 

Do you treat acne patients who work on a graveyard shift? 

Yes, we can treat acne patients who are working on a graveyard or on a shifting schedule.

Do you treat acne patients with PCOS?

Yes, we can. Majority of female patients who come to us with acne also have PCOS or hormonal imbalance.

Do you treat teens? 

Yes, we do but subject to the supervision and consent of their parent or guardian.

Do you treat acne patients who are on hormone replacement therapy (HRT)?

Yes, we treat patients on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) alongside their Endocrinologist who administers their HRT treatment.

Are your products compatible with other skincare brands? 

Yes, our products are compatible with other skincare brands.

Are your products authentic?

Yes, our products are authentic and come directly from our manufacturers.

Are your products FDA-approved? 

Yes, our products are Philippine FDA-approved. 

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, our products are safe for sensitive skin. However, if you are currently experiencing Atopic Dermatitis, Seborrheic Dermatitis, or Psoriasis flare-ups on the face, it would be best to address those conditions first before using our products. 

Are your products safe for acne-prone skin?

Yes, our products were created for patients with acne-prone skin. 

Are your products safe for teens?

Yes, although we recommend our products to be used only if you're 13 or up.

Are your products safe for pregnant and lactating individuals? 

Some of our products are safe for pregnant and lactating individuals. You may check this link for the list of products you can use. Please also check with your OBGYNE before using any topical product.

Are your products dermatologist-tested?

Yes, our products are dermatologist-tested and were created under the supervision of a dermatologist. Our products were created for Southeast Asians with acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin. 

Will I purge when I use your products? 

There is a chance of purging with the use of any anti-acne product, especially if it has active ingredients (ie. acids, retinol, et cetera). 

ORDERS

What modes of payment are accepted?

We accept Cash, Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express), Debit Card (Visa/Mastercard), GCash, Maya, QRPh, GrabPay, BillEase, Bank Transfer, and Cash-on-Delivery (limited to products only). 

Do you have cash-on-delivery payment options? 

Yes, cash-on-delivery payment is available.

Can I pay via cash-on-delivery for the consultation?

No, we don't accept cash-on-delivery for consultations since there's no physical product to be delivered. 

Where do you ship?

We ship all over the Philippines.

Some locations might be tagged as unserviceable by our courier partners. In such instances, we coordinate with the patient to do a branch pick-up at the nearest LBC branch.

Do you ship outside the Philippines?

Yes, we ship outside the Philippines via DHL or FedEx.

Please note that only limited products can be sent outside the Philippines.

We use multiple courier partners to help get our orders delivered to you:

How long will it take before I receive my order? 

Please see the delivery lead time below:

Outside Metro Manila

Do you do same-day deliveries?

For now, we don't do same-day deliveries however, we accept in-clinic pick-ups.

Can I purchase directly from your clinic? 

Yes. We are open Mondays to Saturdays 10:00AM to 4:00PM.

When do you ship out orders? 

We ship orders from Mondays to Saturdays and our order cut-off is at 10AM.

Orders that come in before 10AM will be dispatched the next business day.

NOTE: We may hold the fulfillment of orders for patients with lacking laboratory results, incomplete consents, questionable purchases and medication intake, pending feedback from other doctors, et cetera.

Can I order medications even if I’m not a DMD patient?

So sorry but we don't dispense to non-DMD patients at the moment.
